Hi Lisa,
You might have already done this, but the best thing I can think to do is work with the hospital to use their rules, they will likely have the clearest guidelines.
Good luck with the project!

Subject: Infection control when working with outreach collections in hospital settings
Do any of you do outreach in a hospital setting? As in taking museum objects to run sessions for patients? If so do you have a policy/recommendations on infection control?
Thanks
Lisa
