Hello out there GEM,
I'm currently a student at the Institute of Education with the Education in Museums and Galleries MA program. For my dissertation, I'm doing research into the uses of imported architectural spaces in museums, specifically meaning spaces not created for the museum to exemplify what a room could have been (like most period rooms) but spaces originally for functional use that have been moved into a museum context.
I'm gathering a list of museums that have imported architectural spaces in their displays, and I was hoping that perhaps some of you would know of a few. I would be immensely grateful and absolutely chuffed to be able to widen the breadth of my research beyond the few that I have already gathered. If you know of any outside of the UK I would be happy to hear about them too, I just won't be able to visit them. Feel free to send an email to me directly ([log in to unmask]) if you like, or just through the email list!
Thank you in advance, and I hope that you're all having a lovely evening.
All the best,
Miriam Natis
