Thanks for this Amanda!
Just for clarification, this information is of relevance in England only.
For the equivalent awards in Wales (Inspire! Adult Learning Awards) please go to www.niacedc.org.uk . Video clips of past winners from Wales can be found on our Youtube channel: just go to Youtube and search for "NIACE DC" or "Niace Dysgu Cymru").
In Scotland please contact SALP as they also have similar awards.
In Northern Ireland, er good luck as I'm unclear what they do on this score. You could enquire with EGSA and/or speak to Colin Neiland (a great guy) at WEA Northern Ireland to see if they have awards this year.
In The Republic of Ireland please contact AONTAS (Bernadette Brady is Director)
But basically, get nominating and get museums onto the adult learning awards platforms. Wherever you are!
Cheers all
Essex

Subject: Four weeks to go to nominate your learners and projects
Happy New Year to everyone!
It's now only four weeks to go before the nomination deadline for Adult Learners' Week. Nominations are open for individuals, projects and employers who have done something outstanding in learning over the past year.
The learning does not need to be formal, so remember your volunteers and support staff as well as any external adults you have helped to learn something new. Nominating is free, and everyone nominated gets a certificate whether they win or not. Those that do win an award will be invited to high profile regional or national award events in June, with all the attending publicity that this will give both to them and to you as an organisation.
Nominating online is the easiest, but there are also electronic and paper forms available on www.alw.org.uk.
Why not encourage your staff to nominate by showing this short one-minute video clip? http://bit.ly/19cbAA1
The deadline for completed nominations is 5pm on Thursday 30th January.
Further information from www.alw.org.uk. You can also get support by contacting your regional coordinator - details are on the Outreach page of the website.
Best of luck, and I do hope that you can help raise the profile of learning in museums by making lots of lovely nominations!
