Lorna, How thick were the dust sheets? In the past, I've obtained heavy duty polythene from a builders' merchants which worked well. best wishes, Debbie

Subject: Floor covering ideas
Morning all,
We are running a pottery session in a carpeted room for Halloween half
term. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas on how we can cover the
floor to protect it which doesn't become a trip hazard and is reusable?
In the summer we used plastic dust sheets taped to the floor but these
were to thin and tore.
Thanks
Lorna

Subject: Glass Hand Grenades
Hello,
I am looking to buy a replica version of the glass hand grenades used during the Crimean War. I would preferably like them to be the British version but if a Russian could be found I would be happy as well.
Any ideas of where to find such an object? Or does anyone have any contact in the South East who would be able to make a replica?
Many thanks!
Rebecca

Hello, Does anyone have any information about marmite cubes? Have a tin in a handling collection and want some information to put with it. Have loads of information on marmite itself but can't find much about the cubes. Many thanks, Lisa

Subject: FW: Under 5s Sharing Event at the Museum of London
Please respond to Clare Haywood [log in to unmask]
Hi GEM folks,
Here at the museum of London we are holding a sharing event in January
to showcase our work with under 5s at the museum, and for others to
share their own experiences and knowledge of this growing area of work.
This is a free event open to all working with these audiences in
cultural organisations, so if you can pass on the attached flyer to
anyone you think might be interested it would be much appreciated.
There are a limited amount of places for this event so places will be
allocated on a first come, first served basis. To book please email
myself or Sophie (see contact details in attachment.)
Many Thanks,
Clare

Subject: Re: Floor covering ideas
Thanks to everyone who responded to my question of floor coverings.
Quite a varied list of ideas which are very useful and will suit most
budgets. As a few people have asked to pass on the responses I thought I
would share the list of ideas.
* Heavy duty fish pond liner
* Thick polythene sheeting which is used for damp courses
* Plastic coated table cloth (Dunelm Mill) Use in the wrong way up
so the rough side creates a non-slip surface
* Self adhesive carpet protector- found in DIY shops
* Shower curtains
* Tent ground sheets or Tarpaulin
* Lino cut-offs. It can be rolled up like a carpet for storage and
taped at the edges when down.
Thanks again
Lorna
