this link is really useful. But of course, the gender ratio in the
fields represented comes as no surprise. I conducted a similar
analysis of gender distribution over the publishing histories of
Design Issues and Design Studies (1979–2010).
Briefly, my analysis shows that, over this time, but particularly in
the last ten years, the number of published women authors in design
in these journals has slowly increased and the gender ratio changed
in women's favour. Yet editorial positions remain resolutely male
dominated.
