The errors looked familiar see:

from 2004. Tried to reproduce this but failed, so not 100% sure it is down
to the same issues, but clearly check your PATH to make sure it includes
$STARLINK_DIR/bin and if you can compare the $STARLINK_DIR/etc/gns_gksdevices
and $STARLINK_DIR/etc/gns_gksnames files wiht the original download to
make sure they are not corrupt.
