Tim - yes, KAPPA LINPLOT plots OK.
Peter - that looks as though it's exactly the same problem as I have.
Malcolm et al - I'm following up the PATH problem with our computer
manager. That looks as though it ought to be the solution. Our system
was completely rejigged in the summer, and some paths may have got lost.
Simply issuing the command set env GNS_GNSNAMES
$STARLINK_DIR/etc/gns_gksnames doesn't seem to work, so I need to
discover where gns_gksnames is hiding on our system.
