Dear Zooarchers,
As with images, please feel free to post digital versions of your
publications to BoneCommons. When someone requests a paper from the
Zooarch list, it would be fantastic if the author of that paper would
post the paper on BoneCommons and share the link with the list. This
maximizes the reach of our research (rather than sending pdfs to a few
people over email).
Most publishers allow authors to post digital versions of their
publications in a discipline-specific repository. If there is a problem
with the post, the first step is a request by the publisher to remove
it, in which case we will. But until that point, feel free to post away
and share your research with the zooarchaeological community!
Furthermore, by posting in an open website such as BoneCommons, your
work will be discovered via search engines and accessible to scholars
globally-- open access archiving gives your work a lot more impact.
But please remember to only post publications authored by YOU (or those
which the author has asked you to post on his/her behalf). I am happy to
help with this, so feel free to email me the pdfs and bibliographic
citations.

All the best,
