Royal Naval Museum, Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth, £22, 000 per annum
(Initially for a one year fixed term)
The Royal Naval Museum, Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth is seeking a creative,
self-motivated, organised professional to help deliver and develop our Formal
and Informal Learning Programmes and audience development plan.
The post-holder will join the Museum at an exciting time as it begins its next
phase of expansion and Centenary Project. Key tasks for the post-holder will
include organising bookings, assisting in developing and delivering school
workshops and family activities, as well as a broad range of other learning
activities including marketing, outreach, community projects and special
events.
Candidates require experience of working with a range of age groups, an
understanding of the National Curriculum and learning styles, the ability to
deliver talks and workshops as well as organise public events. He/She will also
need excellent interpersonal, customer care and IT skills and be able to
prioritise work to meet deadlines.
