Southwark Council voted to close the Livesey Museum for Children, only
21 days after the staff heard of its threatened closure, and it will
shut to the public after 1 March. This must be one of the fastest
closures of an established public museum ever. The process has been
scandalous. The campaign to save the Livesey continues so we are still
appealing for your support. This includes continuing to publicise and
sign the petition and make your feelings known to Southwark and DCMS
about the process of closure. The key task now for core supporters is to
constitute ourselves and seek charitable funding, as we are proposing to
run the Museum for the community, if we can save the building from being
sold. We're hoping our children's delegation and support from DCMS and
local MPs will help in that process of negotiation.

Any ideas or offers of help are very welcome.
