I can only guess it's because there are three "cathédrales Saint-
Jean" in the vicinity:
Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Belley
Cathédrale Saint-Jean de Lyon et son trésor
Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste, à Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne
and someone got confused.
Why don't you ask the Pope? He seems to have answered your last
question well and promptly ;-)))
