Hi,
We now have some guidelines on child protection on the Grass Roots section
of the GEM website (www.gem.org.uk). Although these are targeted mainly
at Scotland, there are two downloadable guidelines from Voluntary Arts
Scotland which mention some of the differences between Scotland and
England.
In terms of freelancers - a person is meant to be checked for every new
position. Technically a disclosure check is out of date from the day it
is issued.
With best wishes,
Susan
