We've now received three requests from a GP for PTH.
Clinical Info eGFR
HTN CKD Stage 4 37
CKD 3 52
No info given 26
None of the patients has previous recorded diagnosis of Renal disease.
Unfortunately (?!) the samples, having travelled from the GP surgery via
hospital transport, were unsuitable for PTH analysis.
Did whoever dreamed up the use of eGFR envisage this additional workload?

Subject: e GFR question
Two phone calls this morning - "What bottle do I put the blood in for a
e-GFR"
I get a feeling that something is missing somewhere!
