My job is funded by New Deal for Communities, and it is a requirement of the funding that I provide them with BME data for all the people I work with.
This isn't too much of a problem with adult groups or schools, but I do a lot of drop-in activities for families/children during the holidays. We have recently got a new set of data we have to work to, which includes 29 categories of ethnic background, and I am slightly despairing as to how I can capture this data easily.
