Remedial measures, and trying whatever remedies are available...Andy, I
don't know ! ;)

If you were on Television right now, and TOLD everyone to turn off their
TV's, not use their Central heating, Don't use plastic materials, turn off
their computers, not to drive cars or motorcycles, etc etc as rapid
remedial measures to curb greenhouse gas emissions and oil etc consumption,
would it work ? How many would ? If you past laws for all this would it
work, who'd Police it ? Would you have civil war? Would you be voted in next
Office ? How many "leaders/businesses/politicians" etc would comply with
your TV address? Many do you think ? But if those persons were neck-high in
water, might they comply (see-the-light) then, or would they Blame and sue
some other Human being/s ? Would the apparent "urgency" sink in, and the
long-term character of the issue ? Wouldn't they be the first to fight
(lit.!) off everyone else to get the top spot on the nice tree-lined
Mountain with the Hermitage overlooking the paupers, up to their necks in
it, below, and be laughing ?? Quite a crowded Hermitage you'd have left too
!!

EVERYTHING has CONSEQUENCES if you don't do them correctly - and at present
us Humans rarely do, since smaller priorities (inc. in-fighting Human
pbusiness competition and "Illusion-of-power Plays") and limited individual
and society viewpoints discourage such. E.g. Build a road, and you make
transportation easier and temporarily create (HUMAN!!!!) "jobs", but you
cut a swathe through the Habitats of numerous Other Forms of LIFE(!) that
share the Planet, and allow more cars/bikes to run, with more pollution
being churned out (inc Noise), with more requirements for resources to make
those cars, which impacts more on the Planet, which takes parents out from
looking after kids onto the roads in their nice cars, which jams up the
roads, which stresses the parents, which makes the kids grow up away from
said parents, which affects behaviour, etc......BUT we still build the
roads! AN other or infinite examples.

Renewable Wind Power. What's a typical Wind Vane/Blade made of ?
Composite right ? Must be GREEN! A typical 40% of the composite is an
Organic adhesive, EPOXY or Polyurethane or AN Other. How do you make epoxy ?
Does it come from the Oil Refinery products ? If so, you needed to find oil,
to extract it, to distill/refine it, to transport the materials, and to
modify them, to thus to make Epoxy, and transport that. How presently
"Renewable" are JUST the Wind Power Blades ????? How much do they rely on
the Oil industry ??? And that's JUST the Blades. And keep thinking about
all the others ......

If a population of any species is adaptable, it does not stick around one
place for too long, especially when the water looks like rising up to their
necks (unless they've evolved into Baywatch beauties of course, then we
might stick around!). They adapt. They have skills to survive. They do NOT
presume that everything is always the same, and MUST always be so !It
becomes normal to go with the way Nature takes them. If you insist upon
sticking around, the walls you build will have to be very big, very tall,
etc...blocking out the sunlight, using your rocks, and definitely stopping
you flying to Bermuda for your Holidays !

Take a look at many futuristic developed-world visions, Skycars in tall
foggy skyscrapered skylines, Coruscant is it, in Star Wars, being like
that? A futuristic HI-Tech Human future, where Humans control everything !
Not a DAMN blade of grass, or any other form of Life to be seen ! That's
akin to the Human Engineering of the Planet thinking, to road-building, to
excessive cleanliness, to over-expectation of health and medical services,
to so-called renewable energies that STILL keep people at their Computers,
Offices, TV sets, and create mindsets distant from the way Nature works
with CONSEQUENCES !!!

Remedial measures and remedies! The best ways to get things to work are for
people to do the right thing either when they do not realise it, or
resultant from their own individual personal experience (not tuition) of
right and wrong and thus by their own choice. Any measures must work from
this. Where are people Happiest ?? At the Beach, on Holiday, during a lazy
weekend, and being Creative ...It's funny, isn't it, how those practices
require the least resources (not getting to holidays so much as being there
and experiencing them), and have the least CONSEQUENCES, Planetary or
otherwise ! Any impositions and you get automatic rejection reactions,
civil unrest etc. Show people it'll make their lives Happier and Simpler,
better for their self-confidence and self-capability...and you've GOT
SOMETHING !!!

And I was very LIGHT-HEARTEDLY !! wondering, could this Forum also be called
the CRISIS CHIN-WAG Forum, or the CRISIS Who-said-what-to-Whom Forum for
select devotees only, or the BRAIN-DUMP FORUM ON HUMAN CRISES ?? ;)

Perhaps, lightheardtedly, it needs to be the HUMAN CRISIS FORUM FOR
DESIGNING AND TESTING PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS AND HENCE GETTING RESULTS(HUMAN
SPECIES AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE ONLY MEMBERS ALLOWED, NO CHIN-WAGGING, NO
GOSSIP, MORE THAN 10 CONTRIBUTORY MEMBERS PREFERRED) ! ;)

Any Thoughts... ;)

Chris M.
