I don't know about Bourges, but I've read that the Feast of Fools was not
the one that had a boy bishop. The Feast of Fools took place at the Feast
of the Circumcision, and it was the clergy who took part - presumably one of
them was the Fools' Bishop (or Precentor). The choirboys had their own
celebration on Holy Innocents' day, when they elected a Boy Bishop. The
Feast of Fools seems to be best known from Paris, Beauvais and Sens.
