Hi all,
We have a new space in our historic house, which is going to be a
community gallery. The aim is that we will facilitate local
communities/individuals to put on their own exhibitions. We will be
actively asking local groups to work with us on some exhibitions, but
are also open to unsolicited proposals. We have a reasonable budget to
work with different groups to produce high quality exhibitions.
I'm keen to get our plans for the space formalised, and want to write
some sort of strategy document. Ideally I'd like it to set out how we
invite and respond to proposals, what we require from people proposing
an exhibition, the aims of the space and so on. There are probably other
things I should be including, but I'm not sure what! Does anyone have a
similar space in their museum, and has a document they would be willing
to let me have a look at? Otherwise, suggestions about what to include
would be very useful.
I have searched the GEM archives for something similar, but with no
luck, so apologies if this has been asked before and I've just missed it.
