The changes specifically after MI were described by Fyfe et al. Lancet
1971;ii:997-1001. The key clinical question was asked and answered by
Bob Ryder who I worked with at both Dudley Road (now City Hospital) and
the Northern General. Ryder REJ et al. "How soon after myocardial
infarction should plasma lipid values be assessed?" Br Med J 1984; 289:
1651--3.
