We add the following comment to all total PSAs in agreement with S.Thames
urological oncology group
PSA reference ranges are now age related as in JAMA 1993 vol 270 p 860
and use the ranges according to the graph published in that paper (see
atached)

We are changing to the Roche PSA method on the E170 and I would be
interested to hear from any other users if they are taking one of Roche's
stated age related reference ranges or have even established their own.
Their European based study states 4.4 ug/L as the 95 percentile for over 70
years but is only based on 9 subjects whereas the USA study for that age
group is 6.22 ug/L (N=110) but no mention of ethnic mix.
