The information from Bayer relates to a specific batch of SST1 tubes,
which are apparently a different lot from the plastic tubes we use. The
Catalogue number given by Bayer does not appear in the UK catalogue and
was unknown to BD, when we contacted them. The expiry date given for
the affected batch is far sooner than our current tubes - so we may have
used them unwittingly but think that it relates to tubes that we don't
use here. We have gone back to Bayer and BD to get them to be more
precise about which batch of which tubes was affected.
