Dear Annie,
In the Lichtensteinhöhle, a cave in the Harz, a mountain area in Lower
Saxony, Germany, a couple of fossils were excvated in a bronze age (1000-700
BC) fireplace that was most likely of a ritual purpose.
It is published in
Flindt, Stefan & Leiber, Christian (1998): Kulthöhlen und Menschenopfer im
Harz, Ith und Kyffhäuser, Stadtoldendorf.
The fossils are not specified but are mentioned three times (page 69, 72,
79).
Yours
Christian
