Dear all,
First of all, apologies for cross-posting as some of you will be getting
this message twice.
Is there anybody out there who has experience of putting together
educational materials for learners using maps (particularly tithe maps)
and aerial photographs - either together or separately? I would be
grateful if you could give some background as to what you did. Even if
you have no experience but have some good ideas about what kind of
educational resources should be created then I would like to hear them.
Also if anybody could point me towards any useful books/articles/WWW
sites on this subject I would be very grateful.
We are also starting to digitise the Kelly's Trade Directories for
Norfolk so that they can be accessed via our WWW site. Any ideas about
producing educational resources for these Directories at KS2 using such
things as spreadsheets, mapping software etc. (and, of course, non-ICT
ideas) would also be very useful.
I shall put together a document with all of the excellent
ideas/experiences that are bound to flood in. If you would like a copy
then let me know.
Best wishes,
Colin Hynson
