Exchange has quite a few advantages in many ways over a VLE as well as a
few disadvantages.
The other aspect of Exchange is that it can be used as a drag and drop
environment for resources, which makes it very simple for staff to pass
on content to students.
..and with a little scripting (or so I have been told) can also be used
to track access to those resources as well.
