Hello all
I am trying to find out what is the best solution for making First and Second World War respirators safe for handling. We have over fifty of them in our handling collection, and all of them were 'sealed' prior to being allocated for handling. However, there appears to be renewed concern over whether this is sufficient.
Does anyone out there have experience of dealing with this issue? Experience of using outside contractors, or internal conservation methods, and of costs involved?
Any information would be very welcome
Many thanks
Sam
