Dear All,
I am about to put together some loan boxes of handling objects for a small
local museum with a limited budget.
We will be using both replica and original objects of mixed materials in the
boxes. Can anyone tell me what sort of packaging material to use to keep
objects in place in the box during transport? We want to use something that
we can carve shaped recesses into, to hold the objects so that can easily be
seen if something is missing.
Plastazote Foam maybe too expensive, is polystyrene a non-starter, as it
could react to certain materials? Any ideas for other materials would be
gratefully received.
Many thanks.
