Cultural Diversity Programme Organiser (contract for services)
Fee: £5,000 to include all expenses

The South West Museums Libraries and Archives Council was created in the
summer of 2002. Funded by Resource, the Council for Museums, Archives and
Libraries, it will provide strategic leadership and advocacy for the sector
and help develop its capacity to meet user needs.
We are looking for an individual to assemble a regional programme of
cultural diversity events which will be run by regional museums, archives
and libraries between October and December 2003 as part of the Arts Council
for England's Diversity Project Cultural Diversity Festival. We also
require this individual to complete the publication of the agency's cultural
and diversity survey report.
This contract requires excellent organisational skills and proven practical
experience of assembling event programmes. Knowledge, understanding and
empathy with cultural diversity issues, experience of working with museums,
libraries and archives and of publication production would be desirable.
The contract will require travel throughout the region.
