Hi Nicola, Allan
I imagine that you both are a fairly busy person, but I hope that you can spare a few
more minutes with us.
1
Nicola,
you mentioned on Nov 27 that
"Heidegger asks himselfs the question: what does technology have to do with truth?
And he answers immediately "Everything" He goes on saying: "Technology is
therehfore no mere means. Technology is a way of revealing. If we give heed to this,
then another whole realm for the essence of technology will open itself up to us. It is
the realm of revealing, i.e., of truth."( p. 318)".
I am quite keen on hearing about how design may 'reveal' truth. Would you be able
to give an anecdote or two from your own experiences, using your interpretation of
Heidegger's?
2 Allan
you said that on Nov 27
" I first met the word praxis a couple of years ago in a book which
enomously influenced my thinking on research:
Sullivan, Patricia, and James E. Porter.
Opening spaces: writing technologies and critical research practices".
do you care to chat about what your thinking on research is now that is influenced by
these people's idea?
Sincerely yours
Rosan
