Are you confirming that it is 'academia' that deifies a design in the way it is
commented upon with this statement?
There were earlier comments on this list that a formal design education or
training was not a sacrosanct requirement in pursuing the Ph.D in design
- and yet in such a manner is design evaluated for posterity.
It is a worrying prospect for design, if this is the case - but art and
literature is similarly treated.
