It does not say that. It says messages to the list should be
culturally addressed as such (as in "hello Radstats"). It also says
that it breaks the "reply to author" function.

It is not thoughtless to hit "reply to author" instead of "reply to
all", but now this debate is going nowhere.
If there must be a vote, so be it, but we've existed under a
benevolent dictatorship so far. I just hope that the normal
functioning of our mail clients can be restored swiftly.
