Dear All - please forward to anyone who may be interested.
Come and see Professor Richard Gregory CBE FRS lecture about 'Knowledge for
vision: vision for knowledge' at the Royal Society, London, on Thursday 8
November at 6pm.
Professor Richard Gregory, an expert on perception will give the Royal
Society Medawar lecture. Richard, who is Emeritus Professor of
Neuropsychology at the University of Bristol, is one of a very small group
of scientists who have made outstanding contributions to our understanding
of the processes of human Visual Perception. The focus of his talk will be
the relationship between vision and knowledge. In particular how we obtain
knowledge about the world we live in through vision, and how this knowledge
affects our behaviour towards non-visual aspects of our environment.
