(Apologies for cross-posting)
The Institute has a constant programme of art exhibitions in its conference centre. Some of these are science based, some are not.
I pass on an invitation to the private view of our next exhibition
********************************************************************
You are invited to attend a private viewing of the work of abstract artist Jacqueline Williams on Thursday 17th January. Her exhibition at 76 Portland Place will run from 18th January until 29th March 2002.
Jacqueline studied Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art & Design. She has had several solo exhibitions including the 198 Gallery, London and The Conservatory,Horniman Museum Gardens,London.
The private view will commence at 6pm until 8.30pm, wine will be served.
The following is a statement by the artist;
"The emotive questioning behind the work I produce has its origins in the universality of the archaic signs and their ability to transcend both cultural and historic perimeters, resonating an "eternal truth" that defies semiological ideology. Birth, regeneration, the life cycle and the female biomorphic form have also been exploratory informants in the imagery created."
No charge, but to help us gauge numbers for catering please let me know if you plan to attend
Happy Christmas!
