Dear Heather (and List)
The best people to contact would be Rick and Helen Heavisides of Hautbois
who have an amazing collection of instruments and props from all periods and
are really good musicians/singers and excellent communicators. I have known
them for many years and they would also come very highly recommended from
English Heritage. I'm sure they've been to Carlisle Castle on several
occasions. They can be contacted at 10a Greenholme Close, Langthorpe,
Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire YO51 9GA. Tel: 01423 324369. They probably
have an e-mail but I'm afraid I don't have it. At least Boroughbridge is the
right end of the country too!
