Alreck and Settle have a wonderful wonderful book. It should be required
reading for anyone doing survey work or questionnaires.
Alreck, Pamela L. and Settle, Robert B. (1995) The Survey Research Handbook,
Second Edition. Guidelines and Strategies for Conducting a Survey. Chicago,
IL: Irwin Professional Publishing. ISBN: 0-7863-0358-1. For the beginning
student. A very practical reference with a lot of emphasis on planning.
