Does any list member know of the main sources for the life of Elzabeth
Barton, the "Nun of Kent" or the "Maid of Kent" or more pejoratively, the
"Mad Nun of Kent" (executed in 1534 )?
I have read Ackroyd's life of Thomas More and he refers to a book by Alan
Neame published in 1971. I was interested to know what convent she had
joined and if anyone has seen more recent commentaries on her activities.
Thanks in advance.
