To add to the bibliography, something from art history,
I just finished re-reading Carolyn M. Carty's "The Role of Gunzo's Dream in
the Building of Cluny III," in _Gesta_ XXVII 1-2 (1988): 113-123. Its an
excellent, well researched article with lots of fundamental bibliography
for medieval understanding of and uses of dreams, predating the Kruger
book. It focuses on a specific historical case of dreaming in relation to
the foundation/building of churches, but consideres the extended liturgical
context of dreaming and church dedication, as well.
