Dear colleagues,
Concerning fallow deer in Roman times: from the Netherlands only one bone of fallow deer is known. I ts published by Wietske Prummel. Again it is probably an artefact imported from elsewhere. It is a handle of a broken bronze pin made from a metatarsus. For literature see below.
