Editor Science Worlds UK
Background
This year will see a real growth in the number of science and technology
centres and attractions throughout the UK. Several new hands-on science
centres have just opened or are in development and many of the older
centres and museums are re-inventing themselves and enhancing their
educational activities. There are also a number of new science and
technology theme based visitor attractions opening soon. This movement
represents an asset the UK can be proud of. However, it lacks public
visibility and, even in the world of education, many of the benefits and
innovations offered by the centres are not as widely recognised and
supported as they could be.
NESTA, in partnership with The Wellcome Trust and The British Association
is producing Science Worlds UK, an online and printed guide that will help
to increase the visibility of these centres and attractions.

£10,000 to £13,000 dependent on experience. The position may be either
based from home or from NESTA's offices.

Worlds UK guides. This will involve researching and making contact with

provided by science centres and attractions.

design and / or publishing is also desirable.
