Are white Christmases a thing of the past?
Due to global warming it is predicted that UK winters will get warmer and
wetter. The recent floods have been held up as an example of changing
weather patterns. Is this really the case? What is the truth behind the
headlines? Is there any hope for addressing this global issue given the
collapse of the recent Hague Climate conference? New Scientist Opinion
Editor, Ehsan Masood will lead an informal discussion on climate change over
a pint of beer, glass of wine or cappuccino at the sciBAr organised by the
BA. The sciBAr is open to anyone, there are no invitations and the evening
is free except for what you spend on drink or food. Air your views or just
listen to others, it's your regular pub debate just on a larger scale.
