Dear all
I understand that a number of museums have been approached by a company
saying that a domain name for their museums name (ie www.museumname.co.uk )
has been asked for by a third party, giving the museum the option to reserve
the domain name first for a fee of £99. Standard fees at the moment are £10
for 2 years for a .co.uk or a .org.uk address at the very cheapest end of
the market. The offer may not be in the best interests of the museum.
