Hi!
At the People's History Museum in Manchester we're looking to turn one of our early years stories ("written" for oral story-telling) into a children's picture flat book. The original author will be responsible for the text and we're planning to advertise on Arts Jobs for an illustrator. At the moment we're getting quotes for printing and thinking about distribution - the plan is to send free copies to primary schools etc., and trying to find out what is a reasonable amount to pay the illustrator and author.
We were just wondering if there are any gemmers out there with any experience of this kind of project and if you had any advice for us.
Many thanks,
Emily Capstick
