Good point by Peter Clarke about the use if the list to advertise services.
It is a delicate point. In response to a query from Robin Clutterbuck a few
weeks ago about GEM setting standards/prices for freelance services, I
sought opinion from committee members. It was agreed that whilst GEM as a
membership organisation positively supports the work of freelances through
networking and training, GEM cannot be seen as promoting individual
commercial interests. This is especially the case as GEM converts to
charitable status.
