Renegade Theatre are looking for an Evaluation Consultant for their £ 49,800 Heritage Lottery Funded The Wornington Word: A Peoples History of The Wornington Green Estate W10.
We are looking for a consultant with knowledge of multi-racial London housing estates and regeneration.
We have an inclusive budget of £1,200 for an Evaluation Consultant.

Renegade Theatre
Renegade Theatre was set up in March 2018. The purpose is to use the whole process of creating performance, to acknowledge understand and draw upon people's experiences of connection and precariousness, to regain a voice and frame our own lives.
In May 2018 Renegade Theatre researched, created and produced the outdoor theatre piece,In Memory of Leaves, which followed the personal experiences of residents living on the Wornington Green Estate in the wake of the Grenfell fire. In Memory of Leaves was performed as part of the Portobello Live Festival and funded by The Westway Trust.

We are residents of Wornington Green.

Renegade Theatre are run by a committee of 6.
We currently work collectively and unpaid, as a small not for profit community group.
The Wornington Word: A People's History of The Wornington Green Estate, is a year long project to record the history of residents from the 1960's-built Wornington Green Housing Estate in North Kensington, currently undergoing demolition to give way to a new housing development.Renegade Theatre, partnered by the Venture Community Association in the centre of the estate, will facilitate local volunteers age 16+; to take 12-15 oral histories from Wornington residents and collate historical and new images of the area.We will create a website and twitter account to make the stories publicly accessible, work with a photographer to record the project's timeline and collaborate with a local specialist to capture footage for a documentary about the history of the estate and its people. Locals from the very diverse multigenerational communities will learn and use skills to collect and share the history of a working class, multiracial area being radically changed by regeneration. Residents' knowledge of their individual, cultural and family histories, and the experience of decades of neighbourliness between long term and newly arrived communities, will be recognised and recorded by one another, retaining the stories for posterity and
powerfully acknowledging them now.

Outcomes
Our oral histories will be deposited with Kensington Central Library and made available to the public, along with our residents photographs and documentary, on Renegade Theatre's specially created website. Our documented history will consist of:
A website containing:
12-15 Oral Histories from Wornington Green Residents.
A 20-30 minute documentary about the history of the housing estate and its people made by residents and local people.in collaboration with our specialist documentary maker.
A minimum of 50 photographs (contributed and taken during the project by residents and by our specialist
photographer.)
110 working class people from White British, Black Afro Caribbean, Irish, Moroccan, Somalian and Sudanese heritage will volunteer 45 days of their time to the Wornington Word. They will participate part in our Oral History Training, Audio Editing Training, Photography Workshops, Documentary Making Workshops, Social Media Workshops and Volunteer presentation. Volunteers will take oral History Interviews and help set up events.

We aim to engage live audiences of 580 people from North Kensington and over 10,000 from the wider community via website dissemination and reciprocal linkage boosted by social media.
The Wornington Word: A Peoples History of Wornington Green will bring residents and locals closer together through activities that we have chosen that will increase our understanding of each other and our shared heritage. We will be coming together to create a testimony to our lives on the estate before it is gone.

Time frame
The Wornington Word launched on February 5th 2019 and will have its final Celebration and Documentary Screening in December 2019. The projects evaluation needs to be completed in January 2020.
Data Collection
Renagade Theatre will collect and collate evaluation data and its associated administrative work.
Our Project Manager will liaise with the evalation consultant
