Interesting.
I wonder what other museums are finding.
Our booked numbers for all educational visitors are, within experimental
error, approximately the same this autumn term as for the last autumn term
(about 75,000 from Sep to Dec inclusive). KS1 is down about 8% but KS2 up
about 7%, and the net effect for Primary schools is actually a marginal
increase (about 2-3%). Primary schools typically make up about 38% of our
formal educational audience.
On a calendar year basis (1999) for all educational visitors we're about 3%
down on 1998, but that was a record calendar year.
