In our experience naltrexone will give a positive result in the CEDIA assay
system if present in sufficient quantity. In general if the immunoassay is
positive we also see naltrexone on the Toxilab A screen. It also appears
on the Toxilab LTD opiate confirmatory TLC but cannot be identified with
the same confidence as on the A screen.

Does anyone know whether Naltrexone interferes with the CEDIA opiate
immunoassay? We have a patient on naltrexone who is consistently a weak
positive by immunoassay, but we cannot confirm it by other means (TLC,
GC-MS).
