Dear all
Following the video conferencing session at the GEM conference last week,
we did not get the opportunity to discuss what each of our Museums
currently offer through this technology.
At the Science Museum we offer a range of sessions and have a lot of
enquiries about video conferencing. As this would be a useful resource, I
would be happy to compile a list of information on what different Museums
can offer using this equipment.
If you would like your Museum to be included in this list, please could you
get back to me with information on how you use video conferencing? In
particular, the sessions you offer, their length and target audience, where
the sessions take place (e.g. in a designated off-gallery area), their
frequency, any one-off events and any particularly successful
collaborations with other Museums or Institutions and how teachers go about
booking sessions.
To save clogging the discussion list with these responses, could you please
contact me direct at [log in to unmask] by 1 October if you can offer any
information or if you would like a copy of the final list.
Finally, what is the consensus of opinion - videoconferencing,
video-conferencing or video conferencing? I'll tally up the responses and
let you know!
Thank you.
Sam
