Bill East is of course correct to note that conversion to or from any
belief or non-belief was not the purpose of the Downside conference. And
although it was kind of Bill to write, I do hope that he understands
that any such information -- particularly as it is neither scholarly nor
in keeping with the purpose of this discussion list (funded, at great
expense, by British taxpayers for the benefit of scholarship) -- really
must not in future be posted to the list. *DO*, of course, feel free to
write people *privately* about such matters! It is only natural for
private discussion to arise among list members; however, please remember
that private discussions are not to be sent to the list.
So, if anyone wishes to discuss or comment upon this admittedly
non-scholarly issue, please do so OFF the list; thank you!
George
PS: Remember that using the 'reply' command to any message sent to you
via the list means that the reply will be sent to the entire list; so
PLEASE be sure to check where your messages are being sent BEFORE you
send them! -- G
