Dear Tom,
many thanks for your message; as you may know, I am very interested in the
establishment and development of Celestine's cult. Although I've spent
much time in Vatican and Paris archives, along with those of L'Aquila
(where C is buried), I've not yet been able to make it to Isernia (which
has claims to being where he was born, even though he was REALLY born in
Sant' Angelo Limosano). I will try to make it there soon, and will
definitely visit the cathedral as well as local archives. Have you been to
Isernia? Do you know if any photos of this artwork are in print?
Best wishes,
George
