And I am another person that would agree. Since other search engines are
already using Description and Keyword, it would be nice to be
consistent... and then at least 2 DC elements could be used NOW. If we
want to provide those 2 elements for Altavista and InfoSeek to use right
now, then later if and when there is a general implementation of Dublin
Core elements we wouldn't have to do any conversions.

Just to summarize (and agree with Rachel), I would like to see what is now
"Subject" (scheme=abstract)" become "Description" and
"Subject" be used as keyword (as the default) or a term used by a
controlled thesaurus (in which case it would have a "scheme=" element.)
("Subject" could also include a classification number, also qualified by
scheme=).
