DC-4: The Dublin Core Metadata Workshop Series
The National Library of Australia, the Distributed Systems Technology
Centre of Australia, and the OCLC Online Computer Library Center are
pleased to announce the date and location for the next Dublin Core
Metadata Workshop.
Location: National Library of Australia, Canberra
Date: March 3 - 5, 1997
This fourth workshop in the series will address major open issues
concerning deployment of the Dublin Core and afford developers and
planners an opportunity to share experiences with others.

Participation is by invitation: expression of interest in attendence is
welcome (to the workshop organizing committee, please).

Potential U.S. Participants: it is expected that there will be some
funds available to help defray the cost of travel to this meeting.
Please include in your expression of interest whether your attendance
is contingent upon such assistance.
Probable agenda items include:
- Extensibility - Element Substructure - Refinement of element
semantics for certain of the elements
(coverage, relation, rights management).
In addition, the workshop will afford the opportunity for early
adopters to share implementation experiences and discuss technical
details of transport syntax and multilinguality issues.
