Dear Stephen,
I am working on this topic too (in particular in the anglo-saxon world).
Here two works I found very, very helpful:
H.L.C. TRISTRAM Sex Aetates Mundi. Die Weltzeitalter bei den Iren and den
Angelsachsen. Texte und Untersuchungen, Heidelberg 1985 (good book!)
P. SINISCALCO, Le eta' del mondo in Beda, "Romanobarbarica" 3, 1978, pp.
297-332 (this is an italian review, edited in Rome by Herder: if you need
information, send me a message)
I received, some time ago, a very long wonderful list of references
(sources and bibliography) on this subject from Otfried Lieberknecht, but I
have it not here: perhaps Otfried can help you?
Please, give me some more detailed information about your work! I am
working on AElfric and I worked on Bede too.
Looking forward to hearing from you
Annalisa
